The McCaysville Business Association (MBA) vision is to stimulate economic development by encouraging regional cooperation, building community leadership, and promoting a positive image for McCaysville, Georgia as an exciting place to live, dine, shop, visit, and invest.

Provide support for private businesses while encouraging public-private investment opportunities that foster economic, cultural, and social growth within the Copper Basin community of McCaysville, Georgia.

Riverwalk Run Series

The Riverwalk Run Series is a unique running experience in the twin riverfront towns of McCaysville, Georgia and Copperhill, Tennessee. Each event invites participants to cross the Georgia–Tennessee state line on foot, connecting two historic downtowns through community and celebration.

In 2026, the series joins Georgia & Tennessee in honoring America’s 250th birthday, making it an especially meaningful year to run the stateline. Three evening 5Ks across spring, summer, and fall encourage weekend getaways, local dining, and mountain-town exploration.

More than a race, the Riverwalk Run Series is about movement, memory-making, and experiencing the heart of Appalachia—one state line at a time.
